Race For Life
It was a sunny afternoon and hundreds of women of all ages had turned out to take part in the 2007 Cancer Research Race For Life.
There was welcome news on arrival that the bad weather conditions leading up to day had meant the course had been cut short - but only slightly!
The afternoon began with a warm up session to the music of a local DJ which was good fun and helped everyone relax. Once we were half way round there was an uphill struggle at one point but we eventually made it and proudly crossed the finishing line in just less than 50mins, where we were handed our medals and other goodies.
